Well hello blogger friends :)
This weekend I took a little girls trip to Cedar Point for their Halloweekends and let me just tell you, I've never felt more scared, more pumped, and more relaxed in a long long time!
This is what we saw heading into the resort!
Because I was on my weekend getaway I couldn't write my Weekly Five post. So here we go!
1. What did I do to help a student this week?
My students love noise-canceling head phones. So I quickly put in an order through my secretary for 6 more pairs. Anything to avoid a trigger, right?
2. How did I contribute to a positive classroom environment?
My students earned their first cupcake party! My students earn compliments from specials teachers, social workers, and staff in the hallway. On Tuesday last week they earned their final compliment on our compliment goal so I brought in homemade cupcakes :) The majority of my students hadn't ever tasted a homemade cupcake before. Breaks your teacher heart, right?

3. What did I do to collaborate with my aide this week? Did it work?
I love my aide! She's tough as nails but sassy and hilarious. She knows how to joke around with the angels in disguise. Her and I collaborated on a behavior plan for one of our students. So far it's working but certainly time will tell!

4. What is one event that made you thankful for your job this week?
One of my students told me, "Ms. Katie, your cupcakes are so good you should be on cupcake wars."
